will 3 b's hurt my chances tremendously?

I don't think so. Grades are only one factor. If you have been taking a rigorous courseload, then I think you're fine.

I have a B+ average so far this year cuz I'm taking all the hardest classes at my school. My school doesn't give out many A's anyway so Duke should see that from the school profile. I hope I'll be OK.

3 B's this semester or your entire HS career?

i have a 3.5 GPA and i was accepted... you should be fine

throughout hs

I had 3 Bs when I applied RD and I got in. It really probably depends on your high school.

amused...do you mind sharing your stats?

1520 800/800/800 (Writing/Math IIC/Bio-M) 3.92 I think 15/270 or so, terrible essays, never saw reccommendations, below average ECs

you have great scores...what do you think got you in though?

they don't get many applicants from the Northwest.

How 'bout the southwest? A lot of applicants to Dukefrom SW region (I live in Arizona ) ? what's school profile by the way? does it tell you how many A's your school gives?

I shared the valedictorian status with one or two other students yet we all had 4 Bs on our transcripts, I have 7 b's now (Errr0 , probably a rank or 2, 3 , 4, or 5 out of 450 , i'm guessing 5/450. WIll the school tell that my school does not give out many A's from a school profile thing? Two of my language arts teachers , one current , did not even gave out a single A during at least first semester.

I'm sure that they can tell it's a tough school if 7 bs gives you a high rank.
