Still NO Decision

Waitlist letter was through snail mail.

Rob, Are you able to comment on what is required to transfer from Harpur to SOM?
I appreciate any information you can provide. Thank you

So, as a Freshman would I take any classes at CCPA?

Thanks

Also, is there an essay for an IUT?

so i received an e-mail this afternoon telling me to register for accepted students day, having recieved no previous letter of acceptance/rejection, I thought it was a mistake. So I went online to check the admission status checker and there was no information besides the standard. After reading old threads I decided to try to pay my deposit to see if I was accepted, I logged in with my status checker username and password and I got in. And it said I was able to pay tuition for the fall semester of Hapurs. I don’t know why I got the accepted students day email before he actual letter. Also I applied for EOP.

Wow thats great!

Redsrule: Actually, Binghamton is ranked best in crime rate (meaning the lowest crime rate) out of all cities of the same size in the United States. Our campus police are made up of state troopers. We have numerous other safety features on campus that prevent safety from ever being an issue. The majority go largely unused because we don’t have a safety problem on campus. I’ve never felt unsafe on campus, nor have any of my friends.

Kar1990: You can find all of the requirements for an IUT into each of the schools here: [Binghamton University -](http://www2.binghamton.edu/admissions/apply/current-returning-students/)

Joshrylin: There is somewhat of an essay. They ask you to give the reason for your requested transfer in 500 words or less. This would just include talking about your career plans and goals for your degree, etc. They’re mostly looking to see if you have a clear academic plan in mind.

A freshman in CCPA would take general education courses for the most part. You would not have to take any courses in the major. The first major requirement, HDEV 200, requires at least the standing of a second-semester sophomore. You would be fulfilling the same requirements as a Harpur student is required to fulfill, so you wouldn’t be at a disadvantage in any way if you accepted enrollment into CCPA and then transferred to Harpur after the first or second semester.

I think I got all the questions. If I missed any, let me know!

Sincerely,
Rob Clark

Hi Rob I have another question regarding my “acceptance”.
A few days ago I received the e-mail about my deferral to CCPA when I applied to Harpur College. I was instructed to reply to the e-mail if I would like to be admitted to Binghamton through CCPA. I was just wondering if you would know how long it would take for Binghamton to allow me to pay my deposit because I still can not log onto the pay deposit form?

2017graduate: Unfortunately, I do not know the answer to that question. I would assume that Undergraduate Admissions has to change your status within their system before you’ll be able to pay your deposit. If you’d like more information, please use the contact info or e-mail form in the following URL to contact Undergraduate Admissions directly:

Sincerely,
Rob Clark

Rumor has it that rejections are being sent tommorow? is that true?

Snoop1: All admission decisions should be out by April 1st. This goes for both acceptance and rejection decisions.

Sincerely,
Rob Clark

I still haven’t heard from binghamton yet… Should I call into the admissions office?

we should all know tomorrow…Good Luck Everyone.

No, you’ll hear from them via mail today. Guaranteed.

Haven’t heard from them yet…

any idea what time an email will be sent?

We are waiting here too…I guess we are waiting for an email…

I think it’ll all be mail today. most people I know that applied haven’t heard back yet, so stay hopeful!

The status checker says we will be emailed…My daughter is asleep…so if anyone gets an email let me know so I can wake her up…LOL

GCmom, our status checker shows no change. I am at work and my son is also asleep. If you had told me two months ago that I would still be waiting for an answer I wouldn’t have believed it. I can’t say that I’m optimistic so I’m trying to forget the whole thing. He was accepted to Stony Brook and the funny thing is… there are people on those boards who were accepted to Bing and hadn’t yet heard or were denied by Stony Brook. It’s somewhat random. I know a year from now we will be calling this a blessing in disguise. Best of luck to all and I wish the best to you guys. :)

Our status checker has no change and we have no financial award and can give no deposit. I dont feel very optimistic. This would be my daughters only rejection if it is…it keeps you humble…good luck to you too!
