still NO LETTER: No Hope?

Princeton has already sent out the acceptance mails. All the people I know who applied have been accepted.

Even though Princeton has said on numerous occasions that the mailing process begins on the 15th and they said a billion times the letter goes out in batches, in no particular order, this is still making me uneasy.

What do you guys think? No letter = rejected?

No letter = rejected?

I highly doubt no letter means you were rejected. Granted, I'm unfamiliar with Princeton's acceptance procedure, but NYU is the same way in saying their letters go out the 15th. I have yet to receive a letter from NYU, and it isn't even the 15th yet anyway, so you have no reason to freak out. The process BEGINS on the 15th, so don't even expect to hear from anyone before them (regardless of what your friends say). I'd question whether what your friends say are true regarding whether they were accepted. If you don't have any physical proof, I'd question it. Don't worry, give it at least until late December, then you can worry.

And besides, I'm pretty sure the schools will send you a letter even if you are rejected, they won't leave you hanging.

there is no doubt that my friends have been accepted, there is also no doubt that the schools will eventually send us mails.

What im worried about is that the schools send out acceptances first. Those who so far have not received it are in the doghouse. Most likely to be rejected. Thats what im afraid of.

None the less, good luck to you. I dont know if this applies to you but for those out there, lets all have faith in our lord.

Thanks for your encouragement, and same to you. I wouldn't worry, though, as I do believe the letters do go out in batches. It seems silly to me they would send out the acceptances first and the defferences second (not sure if that's a real word), but rather batches would go out altogether. Many people have told me that the mailings are based on geography, rather than acceptance. Did the people who got accepted live near you?

yes. i live like a 10 minute drive from princeton lol

Ok then scratch my theory haha. But please do keep me updated, I'm curious to know your outcome.

my friend down the street got deferred today...so maybe its a good thing you havent gotten it yet
