Apparently the acceptances are out via e-mail for the university on the other side of town...cough, cough.

Perhaps that is a sign USC's acceptances will come soon. USC always notifies with a formal letter of welcome.

YESSS GOT INTO UCLA!!! Still waiting on the better school across town tho any word on when USC is mailing out?

my sister went to ucla for undergrad and usc for grad. she liked sc wholly more… not surprised ;)

Yawn… I am very jealous of all the excitement on that other forum today… Would really like to see some USC acceptances soon…

Congrats, rice! I hope you get good news from USC soon. Hoping for this weekend, but might be next weekend - they mentioned the 20th to some applicants on USC tours this winter.

Got in there too, riceisnicee
I’m excited, but not as excited as I would be for USC!

This might be a good sign for anyone who hasn’t gotten their admission decision yet:

Yesterday I received a letter from the Admissions office that I had been accepted into the Interactive Entertainment major at SCA. Previously I had gotten notification of acceptance into CLAS back in January, but could this still mean that USC is about to send out the rest of the acceptance letters?

Fire,

Congratulations on your acceptance to SCA! Since you applied by December, I do not think it is a sign other acceptances are being mailed for students who applied later.

My guess is the mailing may take place on Friday, March 18th. It is just a guess.

Where are you located fire? Near LA?

I’m trying to stay calm for my d, but I’m about to scream. Most of you seem to be on the west coast, but snail mail is even worst for us east coasters.

yep! I hope they would send an email for us east coasters haha

Let’s hope…I leave for break on the 25th.

atomicnut: No I’m actually in the northeast. The letter was dated March 8th.

Oh same, congrats on getting in I’m waiting to hear from interactive media also, hopefully this doesn’t mean that my chances of getting in are gone though.

@Alamemom: agreed! It was so much fun over there yesterday (albeit quite intense). I hope we get a good deal of activity soon!
@fire: congrats on SCA!
Everyone else: I hope you hear soon!

I heard usc sends out acceptance letters via us mail. So are you saying they will be sent out on the 20th or should be received by the 20th. I’m an anxious dad by the way

im still waiting to hear back from USC also.

Does it mean anything if we got a call from USC about a month ago to apply for the Norman Topping Scholarship or does everyone get that call?

Is it an indicator in any way?

The suggestion to apply for the Norman Topping Scholarship is triggered by demographic information you included on your application, and is not an indicator of admission or rejection.

Is it a good sign if i received the no scholarship and midyear request letters, I am only asking because my GPA is only a 3.5 UW but my ACT is a 33, so I assumed I had no chance because of my GPA… do I still have no chance even though I got those letters?

Nevermind the above post^ did some googling/more digging on CC, so apparently i’m borderline? some people say borderline and others say it means nothing…
