Still waiting :[

Yikes, the admissions office must be very stressed out!

I still hope I get into LMU. It's a wonderful school.

So, has any one that's been admitted received a letter in the mail prior to or in lieu of the email?

Checking my inbox every ten minutes has gotten quite aggravating.

I KNOW!! No emails = no admission? Are you sure? I don't know, they're so slow they probably don't update emails.

My daughter got her rejection letter in the mail Monday. Sad, but oh well. I kinda saw it coming; she had a perfect GPA, leadership, community service but very average test scores. In defense of LMU, they didn't just send one of those really depressing form letters. The letter seemed personalized, listed some of her strengths and encouraged her to consider transfer since she had already taken four college classes. Maybe she could apply as a late transfer, not sure. At any rate, I think she'll go with UC santa cruz or SDSU. Good luck to all of you!
PS: My opinion is that SAT sucks as a way of measuring college potential. I have five kids--a couple of lazy smart ones who do well on those dumb tests but don't work hard! As a college teacher myself, I'd rather have someone who works hard and is passionate about learning than someone who knows how to fill in the correct bubble. :))

i called on monday and they said that they don't email acceptances.. weird. prob. means i'm rejected.

Seaweed, that's suprising! She seems like the perfect canidate. What do you define as "a bad test score?" I'm 27 ACT, 1760 SAT...no college classes, 3 APs, nothing fancy, good grades, applied to film...I'm so nervous!

No her tests scores were much lower than yours, poor thing. 540 on reading 520 on math (SAT) and 21 on the ACT. She has never been a good taker of those kind of tests. Your scores are strong--stay positive :)

come on LMU, you have just become my top choice film school, the next being chapman!

hopefully alot of us will hear by tomorrow..or friday...however, i'm still dissapointed/confused by the admissions office at LMU ah

good luck to all!!

emailed admissions but no reply

heard of 3 other people in our area who also have not yet heard

seems like there are quite a few still left out here hanging

has anybody had an acceptence the past few days??

April 10 and still waiting......

i talked to my college counselor today..and there's actually several people from my school STILL waiting( i know at least 4 people who still have not heard)...and he was also confused by why they were sooo slow/behind...and he's been keeping in touch with LMU admissions...but so have I,and nothing seems to have changed yet

April ****ing 10th. No email. Grrrr just tell me so I can get on with my life!!

Anybody know what size letter we should be looking for in the mail today? Like a big package type deal, or regular letter?

I've heard that it's a package...that would suck if it's a letter and you have a heart attack opening it.

mine was a big white package. with a cool lookin' red lmu sticker as the seal. hope that helps. good luck everyone!

Still no reply from LMU. On another note, a student I know accepted in December is still waiting for his financial aid package.

Michelle

Now THAT is irritating. The deadline is May 1st!!

The rejection letter is a simple letter-- the acceptance a large white packet. I'm signing off of this site but good luck to all of you! And if this is truly your dream school, remember that you can transfer with just 30 college units (sometimes less) from the CC and that will take your test scores almost entirely out of the picture. Take care and don't give up :)

Yeah, if you really want to get into LMU and don't get in then try transferring. I applied last year for Fall 2007 and got in with mediocre grades, but I did not attend. I applied again this year for Fall 2008, so hopefully I'll get in again...

Andy what were your grades like? And how many credits did you have completed upon time of appying?
