no i am not a troll, i am just using my side account because I don't want everybody to know that i lost my ipod.

anyway. i stayed after school today and had my ipod stolen, like i left and i came back 30 mins later and my bag was open and everything out, ipod stolen but phone was still in my bookbag.

it's an ipod touch, which has Wifi capabilities. but that also means the person who stole it can access my email and facebook and music and everything.

my question is, is there a way to track the ipod's location, remotely clear everything on it, or otherwise find it again? i have the ipod serial number and the box it originally came in. thanks for the help.

Last year someone stole my ipod nano :[ This year someone was being a ****** and stole my cell phone’s BATTERY. seriously. I wonder what they did with it…

The year before that when i was a freshman, while i was at track practice, someone stole at least 10 girls’ phones from the locker room…i was so ****ed off. I also came back to seeing my bag open.

I hate theives. I personally would hand in anything i find to the main office/lost & found wherever…I wsish i knew who took my stuff. Or makes me wanna install a tracking thingie…

hahha or i should secretly plot a hidden camera thing at school…to help catch ppl/to see what they’d do (if i dropped an itouch in the hallway or lockerroom! lol).

The iPhone has a tracking device of some sorts (and I’m pretty sure that it’s ridiculously $$$, as well), but I don’t think the iPod has one because it is not on a cellular date network.

Does your iPod have a passcode? If so, hopefully you set it to wipe out all data after a certain number of failed passcode attempts. This will impede the thief from accessing your stored info on the device.

It sucks having your stuff stolen though. I myself have had 2 iPods stolen from the girls locker room, along with clothes I wore to school that day before I changed for my sport. Why anyone wants my clothing , I will never understand… but yeah, there are a ton of lowlifes plaguing the halls of America’s high schools.

If your ipod touch has a passcode you might be ok for a while. Most people have passcodes. If the guy is smart enough he’ll do some research and just hack the passcode.

Reasonably, you wont get it back. Seriously report it to your superintendent and he’ll review the security cameras/crack down on it. (no, it’s not embarrassing) Our superintendent found 3 thieves last month after doing some sleuthing.
