Stonehill throws some sick parties.

My aunt is a professor at Stonehill. Both cousins graduated from there. It's a nice school, small, close community, great profs who taken an interest in the kids etc. The campus is beautiful. Lots of greenery, closed campus, etc. Close enough to get to the city but away from stuff to be a distraction. Most kids live on campus. I'm looking at it for my own D. I sort of feel biased about it so I'm looking at lots of schools. In the end I really think Stonehill will be the best fit for her. She's liked it best so far. She's coming from a very small high school out of state. I think Stonehill will be a good fit. It's not well known but is growing. Fit is really important. Not just the name. Let me know if you need more info or want an prof to email.

*** is Stonehill?!?!?

^that was a useless post.

I've heard good things about Stonehill but no it doesn't have much reputation outside of Mass and NH really.

A kid at my school is going to Stonehill on a basketball scholarship.

This information is about 5 years old so keep that in mind. We thought the campus was very nice, and it might sound strange but almost too nice. The main dining hall was furnished with very nice oak looking tables and chairs and had beautiful windows with an awesome view. We got the impression that a great deal of money was spent on "looks" if you will. We never got a real feel for the level of academics. It seemed to be a place for Boston College wannabes.

I live near Boston and Stonehill has a good reputation. Forget about "name recognition."

Check out "Colleges That Change Lives" for really good schools that are not part of the mainstream...
