Stony Brook University Class of 2025 Discussion Thread

Did anyone else receive an email about merit aid? I got 7,500 per year wondering if that is good, average, or not so much.

It’s direct computer science I think.
Doesnt say AOI anywhere

It’s impossible to answer your question since we don’t know whether you are are instate/out of state and your stats.

In general, state schools don’t give much merits and few full tuition or full ride to top students.

Did anyone get accepted that completed their application after 12/01. Some of my friends did it a week earlier than me and got accepted already. Just wondering if I should be worried.

Stony brook guess is doing rolling decisions we applied day before thanksgiving and got accepted first week of December-9th less than 2 weeks

Just heard about my scholarships on 12/23/20 via an email. Best of luck to everyone!

I applied on 12/11 and heard on 12/16. Maybe reach out to your admissions counselor and make sure everything is submitted on your part? Hope this helps! Best of luck!

I just received my acceptance to Stony Brook, wondering how long it takes to hear about merit money?

Hey, I am an international student, I got my acceptance on 12/12 and got a merit scholarship on 24th Dec.
So it should take around 2 weeks time.

Same here. Did you submit scores?

For those who have already received merit packages, are you in state or out of state? What are your stats? Were you happy with the merit package you were offered?
My son is oos. The oos tuition is so much higher than the in state tuition that even with his merit package, I am not sure we will be able to pay tuition/room and board. Any advice would be appreciated.

nope :frowning: Hopefully they tell us soon. wbu?

yeah I know it sucks :pensive: I applied mid november and also didn’t hear back from them.
