Stony brook vs. Baruch

<p>I want to go to stony brook, and major in applied math, maybe minor in finance, and eventually become an actuary. I've heard mixed emotions about the business and math departments.</p>

<p>Do you guys think that it would be better if i go to stony brook and major in such as stated above, or go to baruch (with a full ride) and major in finance/actuarial science?</p>

<p>I am looking for the best job placement after college.</p>

<p>I'd go to Baruch in a heartbeat! For one thing, with a full-ride, you could go get yourself an unpaid internship in town, and get a real leg-up on career. Baruch provides more financial professionals to NYC than any other college in the world, and has a huge recruiting network.</p>

<p>And you get to live in NYC (I know you're already from there, and may desire trees....)</p>
