Stopped taking a language at 2 years, will this affect my chances?

The language program at my school is pretty bad, and I chose Junior year that I'd rather take two science classes rather than continue taking spanish. Will this hurt my chances?

If you are currently taking Spanish II, then yes, it will hurt your chances. NYU recommends 3-4 years of a foreign language and the vast majority of applicants will have that preparation.

@skieurope‌ I took Spanish II sophomore year. As a senior, I’m currently taking AP Stats, AP Calc BC, AP Lit, AP Gov/Econ, AP Biology, and AP Comp Gov

OK, my opinion is still the same, but since you’re a senior, it’s not like there’s anything you can do about it.

Is that 3-4 years of Spanish in high school? Because my district forces us to do it in middle school, so I got up to Spanish 3 before quitting
