I know this might not be the right time to ask this, but I’m just thinking ahead.
I’m an international student, and everytime summer holiday starts, I don’t wanna take everything with me back home (Hong Kong).
So I was just wondering if theres any kind of storage facility close to BU where I can store my stuff (desk lamp, comforter…etc) over summer until school starts? I read that BU does not offer any storage service over summer so thats out of the question.

Just wondering how fellow international students in BU deal with this problem.

BU has arrangements with companies for storage. The stuff is taken away and brought back to you next fall.

Or you can rent out a storage unit for the summer and leave your things there. There are some 5 x 5 units at Self Storage for around $60-70 per month I believe. It’s cheaper if you get someone to pay half the price with you. It depends on how much stuff you have what will come out to be the cheapest option.

BEST IDEA EVER: If you have a really good friend (not just a good one, because you want your stuff to be safe) who is staying in Boston for the summer, lives in Mass or even somewhere in the Northeast who drives or plans on getting picked up from school who can shove some extra things in their car–DO IT. There’s no shame in it if you’re friends. I’m a senior, live in Texas and I haven’t paid for storage and don’t intend to. My best friend (and first college roommate) is from Bellingham, MA!
Storage is ridiculously expensive.
