While I feel the same way you do about Michigan, I hate to tell you this, but their SM program isn’t great.

Diontechristmas is right, Michigan’s Sports Management program is not great. It is good (probablyoneof the top 25 in the nation), but schoolslike the University of Massachusetts, Bowling Green, University of Texas-Austin, Ohio University, Louisville, Memphis, Southern Mississippi and West Virginia. Of course, with the exception of UT-Austin, none of those schools are as good as Michigan overall, but purely for SM, they are better.

If you really want to become a sports agent AND want to go to Michigan, I recommend you major in Econ or Business and then, go for Law School. Most sports agents have Law degrees anyway!

I’d forget about becoming a sports agent, because it’s nearly impossible

Again, I agree with Dionte.

im a big fan of both sports and entertainment; i want to base my career around one of those things. Do you think its easier to attempt to become a Hollywood Talent agent or Sports Agent.

It’s easier to win the lottery twice, get struck by lightning and get abducted by aliens all in a week.

you answered my original question, but what do you think my chances are based on what I have listed.

eromano333, those industries are about who you know, and not always what you know. If you’re interested in working in hollywood, I’d advise you to look into schools on the west coast. I’m interested in a similar field and that played a major role in my decision. That being said, I still think a degree from Michigan will generally serve you well in almost every field. It just might not get you the foot in the door that you would expect in those particular fields.
