Straight A's, then two B's senior year after being deferred.

How much does it hurt to go from straight A's to A's and 2 B's senior year? Will that be the tipping point to convince adcoms to reject us after we were already deferred? Or do they not even know that we were deferred in the first place? How will it affect me if I am only applying RD?

I’ve actually got a similar question. I’ve earned all A’s and one B in every semester in high school, but I may end this semester with 3 B’s. I’m pretty worried, but I wouldn’t think a small grade drop like that would be significant enough for even competitive schools to reject us outright based on mid-year reports alone.

I’m curious too. Ending with 3 B’s this semester.

You are fine. You do not want to have any D’s or F’s. Enjoy the rest of your Senior year.

I’m in the same situation and everyone that I talked to said that B’s are fine as long that they don’t go down to C’s. Colleges understand that senior year is a year of stress and relaxation (paradox).

If you are deferred from a competitive school and you have more than 1 B 7th semester, it sure wont help you.
