a 3.95 is good ( it's basically a 4.0)

A- and A/A+ are not the same... A- is a 3.7, which is not good.
I've gotten a few A-'s, but that is to be expected, since we don't have a huge amount of grade inflation. Few people have a 4.0 uw
A lot of classes offer 0 extra credit.

Now how many times have you gotten laid?

Hmm freshman year I got five B's :(
4 B+'s at least.
But my final averages were all A's and A-'s and one A+ :D

I wouldn't go as far as saying it's "not good" .. that sounds so harsh! Straight A-'s are unacceptable at PHY, sure, but their still good...

It's different all the place... A lot of people here calculate GPA as if As and A-s are the same gpa-wise.

I was going to preface my response with "That was probably a joke, but..."

But, sadly, there are people on CC who ask things like that. Yikes!

I have earned Straight A's in my freshman year twice.
Feels great, when you see A,A,A,A. Never gets old.

So what? I control three small islands in the East China Sea. If you can match that, we'll talk.

the OP ... why would you create a thread just to brag??

you sound obnoxious. i have straight A's and i'm sure a bunch of people do on CC too, you don't see "OMG i got straight A's i'm amazing" threads popping up.

I believe that minor inperfect grades such as B's and C's are normal. It shows that you are human because no one is perfect and improving from bad grades actually shows commitment in improving in school. I get A's and B's normally and I think thats better than spending countless hours on each little assignment for a 100. For those that are worrying about grades, think of this. At least you're not the bottom of the barrel at your school. The majority of the kids at my school are satisfied with just passing school even if it's barely.

I remember a guy in my US History CP class who was thrilled he got a C for the class and sort of bragged about it >>. Also the teacher posts rosters of all his classes on his wall with our grades listed along our school ID numbers instead of our names for privacy. I remember seeing the roster of one of his regular classes and only about 3 our of 25 kids passed that class during 2nd semester >< I remember getting A's and B's in US History CP and the majority of the classmates that were in my class, whom made about 70's throughout all the assignments and tests, asked if I took smart pills or something.

Be glad that you're not the kids who fail every class because they are irresponsible and only care about fun and causing trouble at your school. Just do your best and whatever happens happens.
