Straight B's in Major Prep

Hello,

In an attempt to get as many of my prerequisites done before transfer, I enrolled in 3 tough major prep classes this fall. I received straight B’s in Calculus I, Gen. Chemistry ll, and Physics- Mechanics. I’m very proud of myself because the semester was a gauntlet, but I did want to know how this effects my transfer chances. Do CSU’s consider “difficulty of semester” or something like that in the admissions process? I’m an engineering major with the following apps under review.

CSU Fullerton- Environmental Engineering
Cal Poly Pomona- Environmental Engineering
CSU Long Beach- Chemical Engineering
SDSU- Engineering Geology

*IGETC Certified

My GPA is now a 3.76 down from a 3.88

Difficulty of your schedule isn’t weighed but, with a 3.76, you should be a very strong candidate for all of them.

I will add, SDSU heavily favors local applicants so, that’s the only one that is questionable.
