okay, so i am taking five AP's this year
and i was wondering....is it better to continuously study the material throughout the year or should i just focus and study in march/april for the AP's? I mean, for ex., apush, i was thinking i should prep for it in addition to schoolwork (i barely have schoolwork...just HARD tests) but then, whatever i study now, I feel like i will forget anyway!

anyone who has done AP's before-- what is your advice? is it not what i think it is? =]

It depends if you are taking the AP classes, opposed to self-studying them. If you’re taking the classes, there’s no need to study until April. I have the same worry- everything I learn now will be forgotten by May.

My suggestion: make flashcards, and continuously study them over the next semester. Hopefully you won’t forget the material when May comes around.
