So, I'm a junior at the moment and am a little stressed about my final cumulative GPA. I had a bad freshmen year... GPA around a 3.195, and in my sophomore year I semi-cared, and had a 3.792 , averaging at 3.494 cumulative, after this first term of grades coming in, I got all A's(caring this year), and it rose my GPA about .6 of a point.

Calculating my GPA including weights at the end of this junior year.. assuming I got all A's in 5 AP classes I'd have about a 3.739 weighted. Alot of my class are slackers (about 600 of us) and don't really care about school, and take basket weaving and PE to keep their GPA up, while I work my *** off from a ****tty freshmen and decent sophomore year to bring mine to only be competing with them.

Do you think colleges will realize this if I hypothetically never drop below an A (no A+'s at my school) for my Junior and first term Senior year, after getting a couple B's and 1 C freshmen year, and one B and a couple A-'s sophomore year? Assuming all went well, at the end of first term senior year (October 14th), i'd have a GPA that would be sent to all colleges: 3.772 weighted.

I don't know if this is enough to get me under the top 10% of my class, as of right now I have a 3.55 and am about 150/570(26%), I know alot of my class are slacking off, and I was just wondering if it is too late for me to dream? (Stanford :)), who i know will take out my GPA for freshmen year, but.. I'm still worried about my class rank

Assuming everything else is good (applying to TASP, taking AMC12[qualified to AIME last year], good recs and essays, good test scores [2200 SAT as of now], good AP test results) do I still have a chance at some of the best schools in the nation? Thanks, CC
