I am currently a freshman at a private university in Boston studying political science, but am not happy with the program here. Following college, I would like to go into research whether it be for an organization in DC or going to get a Phd. I am looking at transfering to a school that would be better suited for me with a stronger political science department. My top choice is to transfer to Gerogetown. How difficult is it to transfer there. I do want to go into the SFS program but to the college. Is there any chance, even with a 4.0 freshman year, of transferring there for fall of my sophmore year? I did not have great high school stats (3.4 gpa, 1260 sats). Also, and more importantly, can you suggest any other schools with very strong poli sci programs that would prepare me for for a future in research that may be a little easier to transfer into? Thanks.

advice anyone?

umm- george washington university? maybe you'll get my spot. but, seriously gwu isnt ranked 30 below gtown, but our poli sci is barely a step below it- plus gwu will hook you up with internships in poli sci (capitol hill, interest groups, blah blah blah are < 3 blocks away).
