My SAT score is decent- I scored a 1930. However, I've really been doing horribly on my subject tests which in the past have included : math II, and biology. This summer, i'm planning on brushing up on my biology and us history to take in october. does anyone have any advice on how i can raise these 2 scores significantly?! thanks.

There are no tricks to do it. I would just review your material a lot this summer by using a review book (AMSCO for US and Cliffs for Bio).

AMSCO and Crash Course for US History, and I’ve heard Princeton Review, Barron’s and CliffsAP are good for bio. Pick 1-2 of the Bio books, go through them a few times and memorize stuff, and go through AMSCO and Crash Course a few times. Take practice tests if you can find some. Good luck!

What’s AMSCO?

[Amazon.com: United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement…](http://www.amazon.com/United-States-History-Preparing-Examination/dp/1567656609/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1278908084&sr=1-1)

^Yeah.

It’s actually meant for the AP exam, but it’s still useful for the subject test. If for some reason you don’t want to get an AP book to prepare, the Kaplans book is also very useful.

I’ve been reading the Barrons book a lot. Do you guys think it’ll help if I read it over a few times? I mean for biology-

Yes, it would definitely help to read it several times through. Make sure that you actually retain all the information though, which you could do by memorizing certain things or trying to recall facts/processes/functions/etc. at the top of your head. You could take practice tests to record/notice your progress.
