Stuck btwn U of Delaware Honors, Binghamton, and U of Rochester

I want to major in psychology and bio. I am stuck between these three schools. I want to go to UDEL honors because the weather is nicer and its 4hrs closer then rochester. Binghamton is the same distance as UDEL but i feel like the places is dead. I have been accepting to all three schools. If I go to the UDEL honors program, A college in which i feel i well mix in better with the people, amd I jepordizing my future when it comes time for grad school. Thanks guys.

hmm... i tend to think you should go with UDel. Honors says you are a step above, and you seem to love it there. if you are happy, you will be more likely to get involved, and that will make you more appealing to grad schools. besides... binghamton and rochester aren't THAT much better than udel; i'm not even sure if they are. The honors program at a big university liek that says you stand out, and you will probably be much happier. however, that's just my opinion, and i'm not an expert... just another student going through the same thing!

rochester, best school out of the three

i know Rochester is the strongest academically. But will suceeding in UDEL honors make me an appealing candidate to Grad school? Or am I jepordizing my education by going to UDEL honors. thanks

I strongly believe that anyone can be a solid grad school candidate at any undergrad school. College is what you make it. What you choose to do while you are there is up to you. I stayed in the dorms for a UDEL scholarship competition and I loved it. Also, I live 15 mins from Rochester, but I didn't really like it when I visited. U of R is the strongest academically, but you could probably enjoy college more at UDEL.

what didn't you like at Rochester? I am concerned about the sterotype of UDEL having a buncha of snooby preps, yet I am also concerned about Rochester not having any good looking people at all.

I prefer Del Honors. The campus is beautiful and the Honors dormns are in the best location. Unlike many Honors Programs it involved 14% of the population so its significant enough that you don't feel like you are part of a very small group. You may get preference for reserach, events, and internships in an Honors Program. Del is a short train ride to Philly, D.C., NYC. You are close to beaches and skiing. When we visied I liked how you can walk off campus into that little town with cafes and ice cream stands.Good luck. All are fantastic schools and you'll do well at any of them. Attend the accepted student days if you are vacilating.
