I'm a sophomore this upcoming year at Stony Brook University and I'm starting to hate it because teachers are leaving because of less funding so less and less classes. The classes suck and I feel like I'm wasting my time here. I need some suggestion on what I should do. I was interested in computer science but after SBU I really cannot stand sitting at a computer and coding or doing abstract math. There's probably something I'm still interested in that field but I don't know what. I'm really into film and the computer side of film such as post production. Anything else just doesn't seem appealing to me either now or anymore, and I don't know what does. I'm one of these people whose interests change per day or week. Can anyone help me?
My GPA as it stands now is 3.23. It really could have been a lot better but I was just not motivated enough because the academic side of SBU is so boring! ugh! Also no one cares about you and what you do, they don't want to help you either. I really want to be in a school where the faculty cares about its students and helps them move forward.
Also if needed, my SAT scores are CR/WR/MA - 620/630/740.

Many schools allow for transfers in Spring Semester. But you need to get going and get applications in. If you are THAT unhappy, take a semester off, work and earn money or do something positive for charity.

There are many schools in New York State that will take you. Syracuse comes to mind. Fordham, Canisius, Siena, St. Johns, Albany. Many out of state as well.

Your stats are fine and you will find the right school for you. CONCENTRATE on what you WANT from a school, its setting, character, vibe, programs, etc.

Call Syracuse on the phone early AM and see if they have any openings, sometimes they take late comers for THIS semester.

Good luck.
