student at rutgers nb sas

I was admitted into the rutgers sas at new brunswick but denied from the buisness school at nb. Also, i was admitted into the newark buisness school. Which one should i pick? Also, what kind of grades will I need to transfer into the nb buisness school?

The GPA requirement for entering the business school from Rutgers Newark is a minimum of a 3.5. From SAS in NB it’s a minimum of a 3.1.

I was looking through the websites and they mostly say its competitive so most of the students admitted as transfers have 3.7 +. Also, after how many semesters can i transfer?

The NB business school accepts people every year in the fall and you have to check on the website cause there are Prerequisite courses you need to take.

“Students may be admitted to Rutgers Business School: Undergraduate - New Brunswick as first year students or as transfer students (entering sophomore or junior year) from another Rutgers University school or a college or university outside of Rutgers University.”

Read the rest here: [Admissions | Rutgers Business School](Admissions | Rutgers Business School)

I understand, but I’m just nervous because what if i enter Rutgers NB SAS and then i can’t get into the school of business. Wouldn’t I be stuck in SAS or wouldn’t I have to reapply to RU Newark school of Business again? What would be the smarter choice here? Go into Newark(school of business) as a senior or do i take my chances in NB SAS and then try and transfer in NB school of business after my 3rd semester?

I was in the same boat as you. I’m currently a sophomore at RBS-Newark. I also got into SAS-NB, but chose to go to RBS in Newark instead. I applied for a school to school transfer to the SAS-NB, where I’ll do a minor, and then come the Spring I’ll apply for RBS-NB. If I don’t get in, I will just transfer back to RBS-Newark. (RBS-Newark accepts people every semester compared to RBS-NB where they only accept people once a year in the fall). You can always message me if you have any questions :)

So what do you consider is best in your opinion based on your experience? I personally think it would be better for me to do RBS newark because at the end it is the same degree, am I right?

In addition financially NB may be an issue…

Honestly, it depends on the person. All in all, your degree will still be from Rutgers. I think you have your decision made. If financially NB is an issue and you don’t want to attend the SAS, then go with Newark. If you think you’ve made the wrong choice then you know you can always transfer. Really think about what you want to do before you press Enroll Now.
