Student Body and Academic Quality of Kelly?

Hello, I was notified that I was accepted DA for Kelley. I'm not sure how anyway, 3.3 UW GPA, but 4.0 weighted and 1550 or 2250 SAT (thought GPA was way too low) and I'm out of state.

For me, my only real goal and passion seems to be entrepreneurship and Kelly is ranked highly for this (rank 2 by US news). However, I realize that being an entrepreneur (I want to own and run my own business, not work for a cooperation) requires a multitude of skills and a college degree is not even needed. I do plan on working the first few years out of college though.

So, in short, what I am wondering is:

1) Is an entrepreneurship focus in my education even important?

2) Which degree(s) will benefit me the most?

3) How is the student body?
The IU student body as a whole does not seem very intelligent since it is not selective. Kelley itself is not difficult to get into, although harder than IU in general. I'd like to be surrounded by like minded ambitious peers. I don't like to party and IU is known for a lot of partying. Pretty much all I do is study, lift, and play video games... I HATE partying and the atmosphere.

4) How does Kelley compare to: Babson, Carnegie, Penn State, Wake Forest, Emory, ect (essentially top 20 business schools)

5) How is transferring like? Is it difficult to transfer to Notre Dame, Emory, or any higher tier college? I don't think I'll get into these colleges as a HS senior cause of my GPA, but they are my first choices. I feel as though it won't be easy to transfer to northeastern schools like UMich, CMU, and so forth from a midwest school, but it would be easier to transfer to Notre Dame. But I really have no idea.

6) MBA- I may want to pursue an MBA later if my life if being a business owner no longer seems viable. IF this is the case, will being an IU undergrad still allow me to get into Standford, Wharton, Harvard, ect? Based on my SATs I think I'd be able to get a high enough GMAT. But GMAT is only one of the many factors.

Ugh. I'm probably asking too much though. Any information would be useful though, thanks.
For me, Kelley would have many advantages as one of my choices, but it also has aspects that I dislike.

You have a 3.3 UW GPA and your screen name is Slacker1995 and you think “The IU student body as a whole does not seem very intelligent”…just saying

Well, OP has impressive M+R so he will do well if he works hard.

OP, IU or any state school has a lot of top students who choose their school because of financial reasons. DS3 has similar SAT scores and a 4.0 UW GPA. He no longer plays video games; but you might see him working out, playing basketball or tennis. And, he like parties.

I sincerely hope if you attend IU that you don’t walk onto campus with the attitude that none of the students are very intelligent. You’ll quickly learn that making friends will be a struggle

No one from IU has every gone to grad school at Wharton, Stanford, or Harvard. This is especially true when they don’t know that UMich is in the midwest, not the northeast, and they don’t know the name is “Stanford,” not Standford.

Do you know that Mark Cuban is an IU grad? He seems to have done pretty well in starting businesses.

I have heard of Kelley undergrads going onto Harvard and Wharton MBA but you absolutely must have +700 GMAT, single yourself out through leadership in undergrad and do something extraordinary after graduating (asis the case for anyone looking to go to a top 5 MBA program). As for the quality of students, I agree with the other posters here that your attitude suggests you may not succeed at Kelley. Most of the students are quite intelligent and very driven.

Also, IU mints more CEOs than all of the schools in your comparison list; in fact it’s in the top 10 among schools with the most Fortune 500 CEOs (alongside, Wharton, Harvard, MIT, Northwestern): [Where the Fortune 500 CEOs Went to School - US News and World Report](http://www.usnews.com/education/best-graduate-schools/top-business-schools/articles/2012/05/14/where-the-fortune-500-ceos-went-to-school).

I’m almost positive Notre Dame doesn’t accept transfers into Mendoza, so you would have to get in senior year of HS.
