We asked at the reception desk at Admissions when the new student center was to be finished and were told by the senior who worked there that it would be May of 2006. Has anyone heard different? Does it appear that not having much space for a student center while the new one is being built impacts the students much? I hate to say I thought it might be a drawback to campus life, but I could be wrong.

My impression is the "the bubble" does pretty well while the new student center is being finished. They had some unexpected repairs that slowed things down, but I haven't heard my son say that it was adversely affecting campus life.

The new UC should actually be done by Dec 2006. There was an article in the hull about it a couple of weeks ago. My year the tour guides didnt even tell us about all the construction.

The bubble is ok, but not as good as the old UC, and not nearly as good as the new UC is going to be. As far as food goes though, there are dozens of great places really close to campus. It isn't a huge deal.
