<p>I was secretary this year and I decided to run again for next year's student government. No one showed interest in it last year but all of a sudden there are about 20 candidates for president, vice, secretary, and treasurer! I'm going for secretary, and I'm against basically the most popular girl in my grade, so I know I'll loose. Why are student government positions such a popularity contest? There must be a better way to do this. I know it sounds shallow, but it's embarrassing to loose! Thanks.</p>
