Student Housing

I have been admitted for Fall 2011 as a transfer so I'm already looking into housing since I don't live in San Diego.

Since I'm going to be a junior dorms are absolutely out of the question. So far I have found Sterling which is on Collwood and apparently they are building new apartments on 55th and Hardy which will be open this upcoming Fall?

What I'm asking is if anybody has any first hand reviews of living in Sterling and whether they recommend it and if there is any information out there about the new apartments on Hardy that are being built since I can't find anything online. Thankyou :)

I’m a grad student who’s considering going to SDSU in the fall. Housing is the issue I’m working with right now, as I’m not sure I actually want to live smack-dab in the dorms with freshman / sophomore population, but I’d prefer to be close enough to campus where I can walk to in-between classes.

I found Sterling as well, and I wish I could find out more about the complex if anyone else has more information.

Also, there’s always Villa Alverado apartments, as the “on-campus” apartment housing for upper division and grad students. It’s still ran through housing administration, and has the whole “living community”, RA, etc etc. Plus I believe its furnished and has internet provided.

Other then that, I’d love the opinion of others who live close by or know anything about apartments close to campus.

thanks!
