anyone go to NCF? I"m a senior in HS and it's my top choice. The academic aspects and their uniqueness jump out to me, but what is life like there?
what kind of stuff do people tend to like to do? how is dorm life and everything?
thanks...

I'm just the mom of a 2nd year, so I can tell you a bit about the dorms and what my D tells me. Pei is where most all of the 1st years live. The rooms are pretty large with private bathrooms. Most have either a balcony or patio and are situated around a courtyard -Palm Court, where most of the school-wide themed parties take place (called "Walls"). After the 1st year, you can move into one of the newer dorms that have been built on campus. These are apartment-style with 3 or 4 students having private bedrooms, but sharing a small kitchen, sitting area and bathroom. These are really nice and situated right on the campus.

My D, though she has a car and a bike, seems to stay on campus most of the time. When I visit campus, I see students playing basketball, taking yoga classes by the bay, sailing, etc. The "Dance Tutorial" program is something my D enjoys. I know my D keeps busy and is happy with her social life. Probably the best way to know if the school is a fit is to visit, but I'll try to answer any questions best I can for you.

Thanks a lot, what are the Walls like?

I've never personally been to one, but from what my D says most of the school goes to them. They occur late Friday nights in Palm Court and are hosted by different students that come up with a theme, music, etc. I think sometimes she dresses up, sometimes not. I'm not sure if there are any other students on here, but if there are, they could probably give you a better idea.

Thanks that was really helpful :)
