I'm kinda wondering about the social scene in the dorms for freshman such as Broward, Yulee, etc. (not Hume). Will there be constant pressure to get smashed every night, go out to clubs/parties etc.? I wouldn't mind doing stuff like that occasionally (minus the heavy drinking), but I honestly prefer to do quieter stuff like movies/pizza, bowling, or playing sports with dorm-mates. Anyone got any insight on what it's like? Thanks!

I'm a guy btw.

I lived in Beaty Towers and it wasn't very social at all.

Thanks for the reply, but that's one of the reasons I chose a traditional style dorm - I had heard that lakeside, beaty, springs, and the like were less social. Do you know what it was like in some friends' dorms, ones who lived in a traditional type room?

My daughter is in Broward. She chose that dorm for its social reputation even though she is not a non-stop partier. She is not into drinking at all. She loves to party with the best of them on the weekend, but study during the week. She also prefers movies and other quieter stuff. You are not alone.

i am in reid and im not looking to go out and party every night either. i wouldnt mind setting up movie nights and stuff, that sounds like a good time.
