Student taxes

This is kind of a stupid question but on BannerWeb, it says that Smith is waiting for taxes -- my parents' ones are filled out and going to be sent out. However, there is a section that still says "Requested, Still Outstanding" for a students' taxes section ... but I don't have a job. Should I put a note that says that I don't do taxes/have a job or am I just supposed to ignore it? I guess I'm sort of confused. I thought that they would know that I don't have any taxes since I left entire sections blank for CSS and FAFSA profiles.

On a completely unrelated note, I almost typed KAFKA instead of FAFSA. Been on a bit of an existential binge lately.

If you're confused, the best people to contact are Student Financial Services. I'm sure that some of the parents on here can give you some advice based on experience, but for a specific question like that, it's best to take it right to the office that's dedicated to financial issues.

If you, the student, have not filed taxes, I think they're looking for a simple non-filer's declaration. Iirc from last year, it's on a from you can download from the Smith website. Not there yet this year.

And the FAFSA...and even more so the Profile...can certainly seem Kafkaesque at times.
