Studying abroad... is it worth it?

I dunno, I work up this morning and was interested in studying abroad. I was thinking more short term stays, like spring quarter+ summer or spring year (like spring thru fall?).

Is it worth it? Anyone here studied abroad before?

My time abroad was probably the second best experience I had at UCLA, next to my time at the UCDC center. I highly recommend it to you. It will likely change the way you view the entire world.

@UCLAri

What was your first best experience? :D

Living with two WoW-playing roommates and blowing off a quarter to do raids nonstop.

Seriously. It was a blast. It's also something I'll never get to do again, so I'm glad I did it then.

lmao 10 char

Ari, where did you study?

hewhothrows,

Japan. Summer language study in Tokyo, and fall semester at Tsukuba University.

^ was planning on doing something similar. but chose an internship abroad instead.

thoughts on interning vs. studying abroad?

reason i can't do both is because i had to take a year/take summer classes of japanese in order to study at Tokyo U but i felt like i would overload myself with classes (and my head would explode) and i wouldn't have been able to graduate in 4 years..

I just say the same thing: just go abroad for at least a few months. Preferably a year or more.
