I have been accepted to Cal State Fullerton for the fall of 2014 and have been really Considering going there. I know UC schools are known to be a better education in the sciences. I've decided that I want to study biology and the only major Fullerton offers for bio is a B.S in Biological science. I want to go onto a graduate program (Maybe Pharmacy school, med school, or even dentistry school, I'm still kind of deciding on that part.) So i was wondering if anyone knows about CSUF's bio program?? and also applying to Graduate school for Med, Dentistry, or pharmacy(in theory i have a decent GPA and test scores) how easy will that be coming from CSUF compared to say UC Riverside ??

I will also be studying Bio at CSUF this fall. From what I know Bio is broken down into four concentrations by the time you become an upperclassman. I will be concentrating on Biotech. I will also be applying to Med school. My uncles who is currently a doctor said that your undergraduate school doesn’t matter. What matters most is your GPA (especially the ones for science courses) and your MCAT score.

CSUs mainly prepare you for the workforce and are not researched based schools. If you want to go to grad school, I would suggest going to a research university. UCR applicants will have a slight edge if that applicant has taken advantages
