I was accepted to Harpur but I'd like to focus on Business/Economics. I know they have an economics program in Harpur, but would my only option to study business be the fast-track MBA? Does anyone know about this? I know it's extremely hard to transfer into SOM so that's why I'm not really thinking about that at the moment. Any info would be appreciated Thanks.

Yes i think the only way you can study business without going to SOM is by going for the Fast Track MBA program, grad in eco and masters in business is a good combination but the only drawback i see is that you will be doing an MBA without any work ex.
There are certain courses that u must take for the transfer with a minimum GPA of 3.5, binghamton officials will be able to give u a clearer picture.
It is hard to transfer in SOM but if u do not have a back up option, u can go for the fast track program.

And did u apply to harpur or SOM?

I applied for Harpur. I don’t think I would have got into SOM anyway. I will look into the fast track MBA. I have to speak to them to see if I will be able to finish it in time with my credits transferring and everything.

good luck with that…

Best of luck to you too. I saw your other thread about not getting into SOM and considering the fast-track. Are you going to leaning towards that route?

Then you missed to see the other thread of mine about accepted indians.
Well i was lucky enough, i got an email later that they are accepting me into SOM, i guess the more you show your interest into it, the better it is.

What have you decided finally? n which school r u in ryt nw? i learn frm othr threads that ur a transfr…

Congratulations. I’m currently at SUNY Buffalo. I will talk to Binghamton about my credits transferring and see if the Fast Track is a good option. If so, I will pursue it.

Best of luck, m sure u’l find ur way…
