Hey,
So I want to take the SAT World History test, but I haven't taken any history classes before. I'm planning studying on my own using the Kaplan AP World History book and the Kaplan SAT World History book, and I would take the test on December of next year, giving me a year to study. Do you think it would be possible? or would it be too hard?
Thanks

Very possible. Kaplan has good material for World History and a year is plenty of time. Might want to think about taking in June of next year.

Yeah. A year is plenty of time. I’d recommend looking over the AP Euro book as well because the SAT World History is remarkably Euro-centric, at least from what I remember.

I wouldn’t say it’s Euro-centric. There is an appropriate balance. Plenty of Asian content. Nothing on US since that is taken care of by the other history test. The problem is certain regions don’t have a tradition of writing down their history. Frankly we just don’t know what was going on in Africa in the middle ages.

Thanks, I was really worried that I wouldn’t be able to take it without taking a class. I would take it in June but I have my IGCSEs then so I would have to work around that.

I will also be taking SAT world history exam in a month !! do u think its possible to get 700+ with self study
