Studying for the World History AP Exam

Heyo, so I got the WHAP exam coming up in about 2 months, it's the first AP exam I've ever taken and I am completely, absolutely lost. I bought a review book(Princeton Review) and have been looking at that, but I'm assuming that it'd be unwise to use only the review book. However, I also think I'd probably be wasting my time extensively reading the textbook as the textbook covers a lot of extra stuff that isn't going to be on the exam. Any study suggestions?

I’m taking that test as well, and what I do is read my review book and watch History Channel and other documentaries. I’m a history nerd so I enjoy it, but I would recommend using google and finding review packets. You should also download the WHAP guide that gives you guidelines for the material (from the CollegeBoard). The main thing is being able to tie everything together through comparing different societies and time periods.

Is AP world history very hard?

This will be the second ap test I’ve taken (I took us gov last year, missed a quarter of the year and still got a 4) . So in my experience the practice tests are really helpful. I studied almost completely from the book last year (Barron’s) and kind of Just read the stuff my teacher gave me once… Really, studying from a guide is probably the Best option since comparatively little material is actually covered in the class. TAKE THE PRACTICE TESTS. Especially if you’re pressed for time since they’ll help you focus on what you need work on.
Oh! It makes things more interesting if you study with your friends, just remain objective.
