Im starting as a freshman in college and my major is Biology/ Pre Med. My question is since im studying to become a doctor is it a good idea to study some material like chemistry, math etc before I start college?
It’s up to you. As a physics major I find it helpful to start some of my courses over summer, like reading the textbook, doing the example problems, etc. If you already have your classes do some googling and you can usually find the syllabus from a previous semester as a guide (in terms of textbooks/topics covered)
If you are registered for classes, you can email your prof and ask for the textbook information. Ask for the ISBN number so you can be sure to get the right books. When you get to orientation and to the first day of classes, take note of any opportunities to get help – department tutoring, office hours, etc and take advantage of them right away to stay on top of the subjects that tend to be weed out courses.
Thank You!!!
Thank You!
I would not overly stress about this…I would say no to reading Bio/math etc…but if you have a freshman seminar/writing course it would probably be good to buy the book ahead of time and get a start on it.
Have fun!
