Last year I had several beanie babies, stuffed animals, and my yellow duck collection on shelves above my bed, and my huge stuffed Harry Potter monkey above my computer. On my bed, I just keep my big yellow duck, my two Build-a-Bears, and my bear that I've had since I was 5.

Heh. The one my ex gave me looks like this: http://www.giantmicrobes.com/us/products/badbreath.html

I gave her this one: http://www.giantmicrobes.com/us/products/kissingdisease.html

And I tried to give my little brother gonorrhea for Chanukah, but my mom got annoyed so I had to give him the common cold instead :-P

I have a beanie baby called Doby :)
I hope he's ready for a fun filled yet extremely stressful sophomore year!

I happily keep my teddy bear in bed with me, and my bunny and monkey are on my desk shelf. going on junior year

Days can be stressful so it's good to have something to cheer you up somewhat. And my room is freezing most of the time.

Blue, is that Doby the Doberman? I have him, but he's at home.

I just won another duck stuffed animal and a frog at Busch Gardens last weekend. So now I have even more. :)

I have a 'bear blankie' that I've slept with since birth. In the 3rd grade, I told my class about it and they all laughed at me. Since then, I haven't cared what people say to meee it's my bear blankie! Plus most likely a lot of people have them too..

I have two care bears, one that sits on my desk, and one in my bedroom.

i have ditto the dog but im not bringing him bc hes too special.

plus i dont really use any stuffed animals anymore. i never really hugged them anyways---just acted out little stuffed animal/barbie soap operas.

i'm moving into school in 3 weeks! .. and i wouldn't think of doing it without my bunnies. i'm obsessed with stuffed animal bunnies, haha. i'll probably only bring my pink one i've had since i was 8 though :P

beastar, yes it is Doby the Doberman! It was an Easter present from my parents...can't remember what year but he's rather old. Part of his nose chipped off :(

Whether it was a from-birth type thing or gifts from past/current boyfriends/girlfriends, just about everyone I know has at least one stuff animal or beanie baby type thing...including guys.

I have a stuffed LA Tech bulldog I got from the bookstore on my first campus visit, an alligator beanie baby, a stuffed monster that my mom sent me the first quarter of school, a stuffed/bendy flower I bought from a friend raising money for the March of Dimes, and a bear beanie baby that I took from the last guy I dated (he hung it from a noose at his apartment and then draw scars and stuff on him just to mess with me...I had to save it! ...and we're still good friends, so it's a fun joke any time anyone asked about it). I just put them in random spots around the room, though, not in the bed.

My have-to-sleep-with items are a super soft, stuffed heart pillow and one of those tootsie-roll shaped squishy pillows.

I have a small lion-looking thing(he's really quite weird, doesn't look like a lion, more like a greyish cute thingy) named Freddy that i've had since I was four. I'm bringing him, but he'll be a desk ornament. I never really thought this was an issue, so what if you bring a stuffed animal? People I know are 18 and love pokemon(and are normal, mature people).

I had a roommate, who was a guy and not a small dorky guy either, and he had several stuffed animals. Big ones from like an amusement park and little ones, all over his bed and room. He had a different girl coming over everynight, so this year I am thinking about getting a collection to show my soft side.

Ever stop to consider the possibility that he couldn't get the same girl to come over twice?

Only kidding, of course.

I am sure a few were repeats, never paid close attention, but you get the idea. I just think maybe it was something to the stuffed animal thing, because he had tons.

I have a big dog thing that I won at an amusement park and a penguin that my sister gave me from christmas last year. And a little cow thing that I won at an amusement park.

Of course, who cares?

haha whoa, this thread obviously was popular.
anyways, my friend and I share the same views it seems like: mostly everyone brings one or two just to have around, and it's not a big deal.
I took a stuffed bear I've had since birth (he's getting kinda old looking :( noo) and then a stuffed pink dog my sister sent me and had them on my bed, along with a star pillow. My old roommate had nothing and looked down on my "friends" haha what a wet blanket she was. My friend had a childhood favorite, an amusement park won stuffed bear, and one of those big beanie baby dogs, and loved them. So, the vote is in: stuffed animals are good to have around :P
