I feel dumb for asking this, but for those of you who have percentage GPA's like for example a 97.5 gpa, how does that gpa scale work? My school uses the 4 point scale. Is it the average of all of your class percentages or how does it work? I don't get it. If someone could explain this it would be great.

Without the spaces.

0-69 = F
70-79 = C
80-89 = B
90+ = A
At least that's in GA, and in Fulton County, 7 points are added to Honors and AP classes. My GPA of, 97.5 coincidentally, is simply an average of all my courses. The val in my class has a 103.4 I think. It's sad because my friends and I take harder classes than she does but her two honors classes keep her on top.

So you average the percentages of each course?

Yeah, if I had two classes one semester, and I got a 90 and a 100, then my GPA for the semester would be a 95, which as far as I know is a 4.0, with like 97 being a bit above 4.0. Not sure on that conversion though.

sounds more competitive than the 4.0 scale, where a 79.5 and a 89.4 would be worth the same.
