I posted on FaceBook about my Yale acceptance. I merely added Yale University to one of the schools I had studied at, but I have since removed it. Will other schools have seen this and decided to reject me? Claremont McKenna should already be looking at my application since I submitted it on December 1, the merit scholarship deadline. Would me positing Yale be a reason to reject me? What about the UCs? I already submitted to Bowdoin and Fordham, but their deadline hasn’t passed yet so I’m hoping I’m good there. Can someone help calm a stressed senior?
I don’t think that they care that you posted about an acceptance to another school. The admissions counselors know that students apply to other schools and won’t care. It is also very unlikely that they check every student’s social media because it takes a long time. So you will be find don’t worry about that.
Why don’t you make your profile private so you don’t need to worry about it?
