I am applying ED to Penn for Materials Engineering this fall, and I know that they “strongly recommend” engineering applicants to submit math and physics subject tests. Still, since I did not take physics until this summer (currently in AP Physics) and materials stresses chemistry more than other types of engineering, I took the subject tests for Math II and Chem in June (800 on both). Do you think I would need to take the physics subject test to in order to have a chance at being accepted?
Both our SEAS children took math and chem subject tests. It did not seem to affect their acceptances. Do not be surprised that you will need to take Chem 1 and Chem 2 again. The engineering section curriculum does not align with the AP curriculum. You can get credits for Physics C and Calc. Good Luck!!!
