Subject Test Predicament

I took Math 2 in June last year and got a 710, and US History in May this year and got an 800.

I would like to make June 2010 the last time I take subject tests. I plan to take three of them, and I have to choose from: World History, Chemistry, Literature, and Math 2.

My 710 in Math 2 from last year was after I took precalculus and prepped pretty thoroughly for about 2 weeks. I know that it sucks compared to the majority of people applying to top schools (it's the 68th percentile!). I'm just not a math kid, I guess, albeit pulling off a 36 on ACT Math. I feel like if I really prepped again I would be able to get a bit higher, but not by much. My biggest question is whether I retake Math 2, possibly getting a higher score, or let the 710 sit on my score report for colleges to see, hoping that my 36 slightly balances it out. It's not like I plan to major in anything even mildly math-related.

I would be able to pull off a score in the 700s for the remaining three tests, probably World History > Literature > Chemistry. However, is it worth me taking another history, even though I'm good at it? Would it be okay to get another score in the low 700s for Lit or Chem?

I would say retake Math 2. For your second test, take world history if you feel that you will do very well on it. It’s better to have two high scores in the same subject than, a high score and a low score in diverse subjects. In addition, if you let your Math II score stand/ don’t really improve when you retake it, then if you take Lit or Chem, you could possibly have two scores in the low 700s. Most schools only require two subject tests; you already have a math and a humanity, you’ll be fine taking another history test.
