Subject to Academic Dismissal question

So after this past spring quarter I was subject to academic dismissal. I failed all of my classes. Basically I got sick for a long time and then got sick again. In addition I was pretty depressed at the time (I had stopped taking anti-depressants shortly before the quarter began). My GPA was still about 2.0 and I was allowed to stay in school. My conditions were set at getting all C+ grades this Fall Quarter.

So, Fall Quarter swings around. I do good in two classes (projecting A-/A in one class and anywhere from a B to an A in the other class, depends how generous the curve is), but I did bad in two other classes. In fact, I failed the two other classes. I meant to drop one but missed the drop date. The other I just got behind in. So now I’m looking at anywhere between a 1.85 to a 1.91 for my cumulative GPA.

Looking over my contract it says that I will be reviewed after the Fall Quarter. I also signed something saying that if I don’t uphold to these terms I will be immediately expelled. However, I was still able to register for the Winter Quarter. The hold on my account only says I can’t register for the Spring Quarter.

Before this I had never been on academic probation or subject to dismissal. My grades ranged from C to A. So, my question is, will I be given the chance to improve Winter Quarter since I was able to register? Or will they just kick me out? Since I did well in half of my classes, will that improve my standing at all?

Thanks

Edit: Two things:

1) Also I’ve looked into a retroactive withdrawal because I was sick (at the recommendation of my advisor). I contacted my doctor’s office for a letter, but he said he wouldn’t give me one. This frustrates me because he was, quite frankly, terrible. I got sick at the beginning of the quarter. Pretty much I had the symptoms of mono. I went to see him and he said just get fluids and rest and that if I’m not better in a couple of weeks to come see him again. He wrote me a note to miss class. I went back two weeks later. He said the same thing. I waited three weeks and went back again. He did a test for mono, it came back negative (apparently this happens), so he gave me some antibiotics. These didn’t do anything. I figured he was a bad doctor, so I just waited it out.

On the comedown from being sick for two months, I got the flu really bad. Bad enough that I had to take a trip to the emergency room because I thought I was going to die. All of this pretty much made me miss a lot of class and perform really poorly in all of my classes. Over the summer I thought I was getting sick again with what I had before, so I went to see a different doctor. She said that she believes that I had a case of mono, but that I was fine now. I’m now going to pursue a letter from her, but I doubt that I’ll get one, unfortunately.

2) The classes I’m taking Spring Quarter are classes that I’m strong in. I’m sure that I can pull my GPA up to a 2.1-2.2 by then.

You should talk to your academic advisor immediately. When I was put on academic probation my first year after I discussed with my advisor my academic dismissal status, he gave me the okay to continue as long as I continued making C+ grades, but I didn’t for one of my classes, yet because he saw some minor improvements in my grades and GPA, he allowed me to continue on. It wasn’t until summer that I was finally able to get myself up to a 2.0 GPA. Of course, the advisor I had was really chill and lenient.

@sweetlacecharm: Thank you very much for your reply! This is very comforting to hear. I was worried that I would be screwed and get kicked out immediately. Unfortunately, there’s no advising at this moment. However, as soon as class starts back up again I’m going to schedule an appointment and speak with an advisor.
