Subjects to take in college to become a diplomat.

Hey, i'm currently a high school student but i'm about to leave school in 2 months time to start college but i have no idea what i want to do later on. My parents really want me to become a diplomat or work in the UN but im not too sure which subjects i would need to take in college to become a diplomat, can anyone help me please?

Hmm, well, I'd consider history or something if I were you.

Also, keep in mind that you should really be the one researching (and, ultimately, deciding on) careers, if you want to be happy at your job when you're older.

And this message is in the homeschooling section why?

its also under the college section???

oh thank you! im taking history now in high school too and i like it quite a bit, but is it really a neccessary subject to take in college say if i wanted to do something like political science later on?

Everything on this entire site is the college section, but this message is in the Homeschooling part of the Pre-College section. What does this have to do with homeschooling? Come to that, what does it have to do with Pre-College issues-- you want to know what courses to take in college, right, not before college? You’d be better off asking your question somewhere else. Maybe the Parents Forum?

An aspiring diplomat needs to learn to be careful and follow directions and procedures.
