<p>Can I submit my Fafsa correction without the tax yet- my parents didn't file yet?
My counselor said to wait till my parents file the income tax to not get confused.
I just don't want to wait till my parents file their tax because I have other colleges to add in the list and I don't want to have a little chance of scholarships from those colleges(the ones not included in the first 10).
btw, most of them are UC's.</p>
<p>What kind of correction do you want to make at this point, prior to taxes being completed? If it’s just to add more colleges, do it now. It won’t confuse anything.</p>
<p>You may still submit FAFSA to other schools with the “will file” status. You only update the tax info after all tax returns have been filed and processed. I was told the date for updating is not as critical while submitting FAFSA earlier is better.</p>
