Submitted...extremely worried...please chance

I'm a first-generation Chinese (parents from Taiwan) girl in Tennessee. I go to one of the best public schools, but that's not saying much since TN is ranked as the 48th state in education. I applied SCEA to Stanford and got rejected. Do I still have a chance at a big school?

References: range from average--excellent
Interviews: only had one so far (Georgetown) and it went extremely well
Essays: excellent (my opinion & my teachers')

I'm appling to/have applied to:
Yale (sent an art supplement for graphic design), Harvard, Princeton, WashU, UPenn, Cornell, Duke, Vanderbilt, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, UMich, Notre Dame

Please chance me (I'll chance you back). I'm really worried. I've already lost some sleep from worrying, and my parents aren't helping. My dad told me I need to apply to a few more schools with due dates in February.

You're in a relatively good place - your GPA is of course quite good. The SAT & ACT aren't bad, though a bit below average for most of these schools.

I don't know about individual chances for any of these schools, but you'll surely get into at least some of them. Applying to more schools couldn't hurt, of course.

Who cares about your chances, you already sent them in. And his ACT score is a 33. HOw can it be "below the average"? What an annoying comment. Most ivies list their average as "28-33" so he fits right in.

I can understand why you're nervous :p
Hopefully you're not like this until April, though, you have to get over it eventually haha

All righty....

Rank/GPA - Nothing to be said here, obviously can't improve
SAT/ACT: 2130/33 -- I don't know, SAT could definitely be considered on the low side, ACT score is more in par with the ranges (as Steven mentioned)

SATIIs: Good, 700+ in Chem would've been ideal, but you can definitely manage with it.

ECs: Ok, you have a HOST of ECs, but I can't discern what you're REALLY actively involved in (I mean, contributed a LOT of time to). Ideally, there should be 1 or 2 that you are very very passionate about and would die without. To me, it seems pretty "standard" for some of the top schools.

So, at the end, here's what I'd say:

HYP: Probably not. For these, yes your SATs are on the low side. There's nothing "wowing" about your ECs. Basically, I'd say you're an "average" applicant at this school (keep in mind, "average" at HYP is still very qualified in other schools). If you have phenomenal essays, this is still quite possible.

Upenn/Duke: Likely -- SAT scores COULD be higher (never can hurt), but I think ECs could be stronger. I noticed you've had classes at Duke. If you wrote this on your app, I'd say it can help. If you have great essays, admission is likely.

JHU -- More likely, same commentary above, but I think you have even a better shot here (quite a good shot, actually)

The rest, I'll let someone else take b/c I don't know too much about them (have never researched them lol)

Hopefully that alleviated you somewhat. I try to be truthful/analytical, but remember I'm looking at bullet points and a list of numbers..... I know nothing of your personality, which you convey through your essays

BTW, if you could, I'd like you to chance me back as well: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/626211-chance-brown-princeton-cornell-cmu-etc.html
Doesn't have to be long or detailed or anything, just your opinions/takes. Thanks
