Submitted FAFSA around Late Jan; Corrected March 16th

<p>Does this mean I missed the priority deadline? As many do, I put that my parents WOULD file back in late January. I recently fixed it, after the March 15th deadline. I assumed that was okay, because if it wasn't, then many kids would be screwed when they forgot to revise their information...</p>

<p>My CASH has a bar on it, saying a financial adviser has to check over it, but that I did not have to do anything. Sadly, after correcting my EFC, it went from 14k to 24k (because we forgot one very important part). </p>

<p>Many people are already posting about their scholarships, such as the PAS. Do we not receive any scholarships or aid until our FAFSA has been processed? My brother says I shouldn't worry too much, but I've always been a worrywart. Thanks for the information guys!</p>

<p>I had the same problem. My FAFSA had to be corrected after March 15th, but I called UT and the guy said that the important thing is if you submitted FAFSA before the priority deadline, it doesn’t matter if you have to correct it after the deadline. As long as you submitted it before march 15th you are fine!!
So don’t worry!! :frowning:
My parents had to send an amended return so ughh it’s gonna be a while before I know about aid :frowning: :frowning: You can’t get any aid until everything has been processed. And my efc increased a lot too, to the point where i am not eligible for a pell grant anymore
Anyways The UT guy told me that it is first come first serve though so kids who have their FAFSA stuff done the earliest probably are gonna get more aid than kids who wait till last minute.
So you’ll be fine though.
