<p>When I submit an essay onto MyMIT, where ever I have an apostrophe, a question mark in the middle of a diamond appears (several of them).</p>
<p>Is that usual or should I delete them?</p>

<p>Preview the PDF - it won’t show up. You have to manually replace the weird symbols that show up on MyMIT</p>
<p>This happened to me after copy/paste. I just deleted them and then replaced.</p>
<p>This is what happens when you paste formatted text from your word processing program into a plaintext editor. You should replace the symbols with non-formatted text.</p>
<p>^ Or use a plaintext editor in the first place :)</p>
