it's on the website, i believe you send them in when you send in your 2005 forms...I still cannot find anywhere, either on the website or in the application booklet, that indicates we have to send in 2004 forms...one section requests you to send in the most recent tax forms, but that isn't due until Feb, meaning you can just send in the 2005 (if it's done)

guys..its all clearly outline in the application and the checlist...follow that...they cant screw you for anything if you just follow what the app says...

For Regular decision...
-Form 6 due 1/1
-Profile on Collegeboard due 2/15
-Noncustodial profile (if this applies to you) due 2/15 (I think this needs to be done if your parents are seperated or divorced...and its not in place of the regular profile..its additional..collegeboard tells you all about it after you submit your profile..if it applies to you)
-Business/Farm Supplement (If your parents own at business or farm...and theres other stuff with this...most recent tax returns and W-2s for the business im assuming...and also the following IRS forms:
-Farms: Sumbit Schedule F
-Sole-poprietorships: Submit Schedule C
-Corporations: Submit Form 1120 or 1120s, and copies of all ` K-1s
-Partnerships: Submit Form 1065, and copies of all K-1s

Thats all directly out of the application..the checlist and Financial Aid checlisht and fin aid summary chart...now its all here...get it all done

oh and make copies of all of these forms because who knows who else will need it

that's what I was looking at too, and it doesn't say anything about sending in 04 forms (unless it was indicated on Form 6 but i dont believe it was), but then eckie said the Aid Office told him otherwise so...

*HER

and youre right, I dont think that the Form 6 said anything about tax forms. And then THIS thing:

http://www.sfs.upenn.edu/pdf/2006-07/TAX-ID-Freshman-Transfer-Student-06-07.pdf

Where did THAT come from?

this is the website for prospective undergrad students financial aid

when i spoke to the officer an hour ago, he said that we need to send in 2004 W2 and then 2005 W2 in january (becasue most ppl dont even have these yet)...

so maybe the first link you sent gets attached to your 05 W2's and your 04 W2's just go with your Penn fin aid form.

maybe; these officers suck at answering questions. they dint mention anything about these forms, and the application dint either...im still confused on what to send, so im gonna do the following:
send financial aid form
send 2004 W2 and all available 2004 returns
ill ask my parents if they have anything from 2005 yet, and if they dont, then ill send in the 2005 W2 and all available returns along with 2 forms from the website in january

why cant they just hand me money in a black suitcase? :(

because they only do that for the cool people

i dont remember sending in my 2004 W2s..for ED...got in and got my aid...but i might be forgetting

anyone with any experiences in this?

bumppppppppppppp

bumppppppppppppp

This is going to suck. I have to copy like 50 pages of tax returns and a bunch of W2s

I'm guessing 50 is an exaggeration but i only have 2 sheets for each person...lol

im copying about 50 pages in returns also for the 2004 year...my parents are apparently running 2 business i didnt even know about until today

WHOA, WHOA

May I direct all RD people applying for fin aid to look at the form right now.

All those questions with little stars in circles? Um, why are they next to certain questions?
And WHY, at the end of the fin aid form, is there a little star in a circle that says 'For SFS Use'

Does that mean we werent supposed to fill in those questions? Are they hieroglyphics? YO NO COMPRENDE!

WAIT. So if youre applying online, you have to fill the financial form SEPERATELY on PAPER??

so it's
Penn's Financial Aid form on PAPER
copies of W-2
and CSS??
