Submitting IDOC

<p>I originally posted in Parents Forum but did not get any replies so I am trying over here.</p>

<p>The IDOC due date is March 1.
Is it ok if it's few days late?
I've been swamped at work and still have not filed my taxes but planning to do it next two weekends.
I am guessing they will receive it by March 7th at the latest. </p>

<p>Your best bet is to look at the school’s financial aid page. Some schools specifically state that if your paperwork is late including the IDOC, that you will get no/or reduced aid.</p>

<p>For example at Brown is you do not meet the deadlines, you will not receive aid for the school year.</p>

<p>A. Yes. However, you must submit an on time application for any given year prior to being considered for scholarship assistance for that year. Therefore, if you fail to apply on time during the admission process, you will not be considered for scholarship assistance for your freshman year. Students in this situation can apply for federal loans, federal grants and work-study by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).</p>

<p>And, at other schools, the financial aid award will be delayed . . . so a decision may have to be made by May 1 without that critical info.</p>

<p>Sorry, but this is a deadline you probably can’t afford to miss. :(</p>
