Submitting music Cd's?

For all of those who are on a scale of 1 to 10 a 7 or 8 in music (10 being the best), did you all make and submit a cd with accompaniment to send to your colleges you are applying to? I didn't because I didn't think it would help much and because it would cost a lot of money and take a lot of time. I don't know if I made the right choice.

I was in the same dilemma, i called the school's music program and they suggested i didn't send a tape because it wouldn't affect admissions too much, just be able to clearly list your honors/accomplishments

I'm not sure what your ratings are, but I did send in a solo music CD. It didn't cost a great deal, and I needed to make one, anyway.

i sent in a tape to all of the colleges i was applying to. i think this way the college admission ppl can actually really listen to ur talent rather than seeing it on paper under awards/EC or what not, which is always a plus. also shows that u were willing to spend extra time making the recording and stuff.

Hey cookiemonster,
Did you get into your early decision/action college? I heard some ppl who submitted a cd got into their early's.

hey testace, im a cookiemonkey btw ;) heheh

AHAH no i didnt get into my early aciotn college. my early action was stanford so i could only apply to it early and nothing else.

buttttt despite my music tape and composition and evthing...
my stats were WAYyyyyy too low + i gues my essays sucked really bad ahah
