Submitting Writing Supplements

When I was applying to my early action schools last month, I noticed that I had the ability to submit my Common application without immediately submitting the writing supplement. My school's guidance office requires that we submit all application material for the January 15th regular decision deadline by November 15th (yes, 2 whole months in advance). I don't really have the time this week to adequately and thoroughly complete my writing supplements, so I was wondering if it would be possible to submit my common app to these schools tonight and submit my writing supplement portion over the weekend or early next week. (And in doing so, I will receive a payment receipt for the schools I apply to?)

Yes, you’ll be able to pay and submit the common app without submitting the supplement immediately.

My D’s school also has a 3-week in advance policy that students need to submit applications at least 3 weeks before deadline and the counselor would fill the forms and submit document after submission to ensure it will be done before deadline. It ended up many students just submit the requests to the counselor as if there were done with the application while still working on the essay until the last minute. So there are a lot of people just did the way like you said.

I think emailing the admissions office of the specific school is better, just in case. That way you don’t lose eligibility for ED
